Paying for Services FAQ

What are your rates?

Your insurance provider determines your costs for coinsurance, copay, and deductible. You can inquire with your provider for these rates (usually via a phone number on your insurance card), or we can help determine your out-of-pockets costs on your first visit.

If you're paying strictly out-of-pocket (private pay), please contact us directly using our Contact page or send us a secure email. We may be able to offer you a discount. For nearly all of our clients, however, using insurance has the lowest consumer cost.

What insurance providers do you accept or are in-network with?

Here is a partial list of insurance providers we work with (subject to change without notice). If you would like to inquire about your insurance provider, please use our Contact page.

  • Aetna
  • Anthem/Blue Cross
  • Beacon Health Strategies
  • UBH/OptumHealth

What am I responsible for paying?

You are responsible for paying any costs not covered by your insurance provider. This includes co-pay, costs associated with coinsurance, and your deductible.

We require services to be paid in full before each appointment. This includes any previous amount due.

How do I pay for services?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Discover, etc.), check, or cash. For credit cards, we use a secure payment processor to store your information for future charges. We do not store your financial details locally and destroy portions of forms containing your credit card number or bank information.

If you are paying cash or check, we may require you to pay an initial retainer until we can confirm reimbursement by your insurance provider. The remainder of the retainer is refundable, or you may use it to pay for future services.

Do you offer refunds?

Sorry, we are not able to issue refunds on our mental healthcare services. However, we encourage you to be an active participant in your therapy, providing feedback about what is working for you and what you'd like to change. And, if you'd like to switch care providers, we can help with that transition.
